We have done several refreshes of the Art Prints Gallery website over the years with the last one being in 2016. But now we’re reaching the end of 2019 and that all important festive period and we felt it was time that APG was given another fresh lick of paint.
When it comes to redesigning a website, it’s important to look at the current website and analyse what is working and what is not. And in terms of the 2016 Art Prints refresh, a lot of the functionality and design still worked well but we did see some areas for improvement, particularly on mobile.
We created a new design with mobile specifically in mind, making better optimisation of the whitespace to make the website feel fresher and more spacious. We also decided to include two ‘Feature’ sections – one for artist and one for subject where our client can easily update to promote a specific artist and category each month. It looks visually stunning too and really sets the Art Prints Gallery apart from it’s competitors.
