Liam is our longest serving web developer having been with us since 2013. Joining us through Renfrewshire Council’s ‘Invest In Renfrewshire’ programme, Liam quickly made himself an indispensable member of of the team.

Liam became interested in web design when he was a teenager after he started designing websites for his favourite pop groups on the now defunct platform Geocities. He went onto study Web Design & Multimedia at the University of the West of Scotland, graduating in 2012 with honours. He’s now been at Xtensive for over 10 years and has been at the heart of countless projects that have helped Xtensive grow into the successful business that we are today.

Originally building websites on Joomla and BigCommerce, Liam has now spread his wings into WordPress, Shopify and has a particular interest in making the internet accessible for everyone. He loves branding and will always go the extra mile to make sure your website design is fresh and unique to you and your business. His dream is to design and build a website for one of his favourite pop groups so if you’re a pop group and reading this, get in touch!

When Liam isn’t working, you will usually find him at a gig – mainly K-Pop ones (you should hear him singing along to it in the office, he’s fluent and tone deaf!), travelling or at the cinema. He’s also quickly approaching 40 but don’t remind him about that.

Get to know Liam with some quick fire questions

What’s your favourite quote?

‘Can you help me with a ticket? It’s totally bogus. It was a one-way street. I was going one way! – Cordelia Chase

What is your most proud moment?

Probably designing and building the website for Toolden. It’s still to this day the biggest project I’ve ever worked on and 95% of it was done by me. It’s a lot of pressure designing for a multi-million revenue client on your own!

You’re hosting a dinner party, which 3 dinner party guests are you inviting?

Kelly Clarkson because she’s hilarious, Joan Rivers because she’s hilarious and Shigeru Miyamoto because he created Super Mario. None of them would survive since I cannot cook – RIP.

Your favourite thing about working for Xtensive?

I think being given creative freedom. The one thing I don’t want to ever feel is stifled creatively and I’ve never felt that here. Everyone trusts me enough to know that what I am doing is good.
