Big changes are afoot at Xtensive HQ as we move to our new offices in Abbey Mill Business Centre in the heart of Paisley.
If you haven’t already seen the news, we were given quite a shock when we were told that the St James Business Centre where we have been based for over a decade was shutting down in April! To say that it came out of nowhere would be an understatement not just for us but for all the other businesses within the business centre. With only a couple of months notice given, we were frantically on the hunt for a brand new location for Xtensive HQ! And thankfully, we found a brand new office which is even bigger and better.
Based within the Mile End Mill which is part of the Abbey Mill Business Centre, our new office space is bigger than what we had before and even comes with a separate meeting room / kitchen area. The Mile End Mill is steeped in the history of Paisley, once the home to a threading mill, the building is now an ‘A’ listed building and even has it’s own museum all about Paisley’s historic past in the threading industry.
Amenities wise it’s much more centrally located for us, has an on-site café (handy for when the weather is rubbish) and stunning meeting rooms & breakout areas for us to use as well. Despite the stress of having to move, we’re delighted with our new office base and excited for the future in our new home.
